Bangladesh culls 20,000 chickens infected with bird flu
Nearly 20,000 chickens were culled after the bird flu virus was detected at a government poultry farm at Mirpur, on the outskirts of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Bird flu was first reported near the Bangladesh capital in March and has been reported to spread in the northern districts, prompting officials to kill more than 300,000 chickens.
No human cases of infection have been reported in the country.
