AA broiler prices rebounded during early October after plunging 27% in five weeks. Sales were limited, however, as slaughterhouses were mostly on holidays.
Chicken prices in China have dropped 25% in the face of oversupply as the country's hog population continues to rebound and larger volumes of pork are being produced.
Slaughterhouses continued to expand chicken inventories, albeit more prudently after prices moved higher. With hog prices staying high and likely to surge further, demand for chicken products remained promising hence lending support to AA broiler market.
