The Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance (FACA) has welcomed a US bipartisan reintroduction of the Growing Climate Solutions Act and thanks US Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow and Sen. Mike Braun for sponsoring the bill.
The US is importing British beef for the first time after 24 years of imposed ban that started back in 1996 following an outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
US exports of both pork and beef declined in July compared with last year, even as production was "returning to near-normal levels", the US Meat and Export Federation (USMEF) said.
