Cal-Maine names new vice president of operations

 

 

 

Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. has announced the appointment of Michael Ermon as vice president of operations.

 

The appointment was approved by the company's board of directors on December 23.

 

"Michael is very familiar with our operations and customers in Texas, and he has clearly demonstrated his leadership capabilities in managing our day-to-day operations," said Dolph Baker, the chairman, president and CEO of Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. "We are proud to have Michael as a member of our management team, and we look forward to his leadership in Texas and Kansas as we continue to pursue our growth strategy."

 

Ermon will hold responsibility for Cal-Maine Foods' production and processing facilities located in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas, and Chase, Kansas, US.

 

He will also serves as the company's representative on the operations committee for the Red River Valley Egg Farm joint venture in Texas.

 

Ermon reports directly to Sherman Miller, the chief operating officer of Cal-Maine Foods.

 

An employee with Cal-Maine Foods since 2004, Ermon most recently served as operations director in Farwell and Pittsburg.

 

Previously, he was general manager in Farwell, and also held the same position in Greensburg, Louisiana.

 

Ermon graduated from Louisiana State University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in animal science.
