Inadequate supply drives up China lysine prices

Lysine prices continued to rise during the week ending December 29.

As producers continued to limit output, supplies of 98.5-percent lysine remained tight although the availability of 70-percent lysine increased lately.

Meanwhile, lysine demand remained firm as feed producers step up production, hence lending support to the price hikes.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine increased to the range of RMB5.40-5.50/kg.
