Tight supply underpins China methionine prices
Prices of methionine were mostly stable during the week ending December 28.
As the output of one global producer was low, distributors stood firm on prices amid tight availability. Demand for methionine improved lately while buyers restocked inventories amid concerns that prices might surge amid inadequate supplies.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine remained in the range of RMB32-32.50/kg.
