Russia buys 53,055 tonnes milling wheat in tender
At the third intervention tender held December 27, the government of Russia purchased 53,055 tonnes including 51,705 tonnes third grade milling wheat and 1,350 tonnes of fourth grade milling wheat.
The government intends to buy in the current marketing year 1.4 million to 1.5 million tonnes of intervention grain from farmers in Siberia and the Urals.
The farmers will be able to buy the grain back from the government later if market prices rise.
