China lysine prices fall on ample supply, slack demand
Lysine prices continued to drop during the week ending December 27.
High prices of lysine encouraged producers to sustain output, resulting in ample supplies in the market. With demand for hog feed and hence lysine flat, producers cut prices in a bid to stimulate buying.
Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were at RMB7.80-8.50/kg.
RMB1=US$0.1439 (Dec 27)
