Kazakhstan's grain exports record 3.5 million tonnes
 

 

As much as 3.5 million tonnes of grain have been exported from September 1 to December 20, Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Asylzhan Mamytbekov said.

 

Moreover, according to Mamytbekov, a record amount of grain and flour for the last three years was transhipped in November – 853,500 tonnes of grain and 310,000 tonnes of flour.

 

Kazakhstan has collected 30 million tonnes in bunker weight and 26 million tonnes of grain in net weight in 2011. This is a record grain harvest within years of independence. Eight million tonnes of the grain harvest will be used for domestic consumption.

 

Export potential is estimated at 15 million tonnes.
