Gradual rise in China methionine prices on tight availability
Prices of methionine remained firm during the week ending December 21.
Sellers lifted prices lately as the availability of methionine remained tight with one producer halting production.
Price quotes for locally produced methionine were at RMB29.80/kg.
Distributors and traders, who see their profits slashed over the past several months, will attempt to lift methionine prices in the coming weeks.
