Czech Republic provides pig, poultry subsidies
Subsidies totalling CZK378 million (US$19.2 million) have been extended by Czech Republic's Ministry of Agriculture to pig and poultry breeders this year.
The ministry has informed that it handled almost 4,000 applications for a subsidy from the Eight Infection Fund programme in late 2011.
The programme was divided into two subprogrammes for the support of selected activities, focusing on the restoration of the health of pigs and the support for selected activities focusing on poultry zoonosis prevention measures.
