China's pesticides output jumps 22% in November
China produced 240,000 tonnes of pesticides in November of 2011, marking a 22.4% on-year gain, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
During the period it produced 60,000 tonnes of insecticides, 10,000 tonnes of germicides and 117,000 tonnes of herbicides, which were respectively up 13.2%, down 28.6% and up 21.9% from the same period of 2010.
In the first 11 months the country produced 2.38 million tonnes of pesticides, up 19.3% on-year. Its production of insecticides, germicides and herbicides totalled 630,000 tonnes, 136,000 tonnes and 1.06 million tonnes, up 15.2%, down 1.4% and up 11.3% respectively on-year.
