Ukraine's meat products output down 0.8%

Compared with October, meat processing enterprises decreased meat and by-products production of the first category by 0.8% or 703 tonnes to 87,260 tonnes in November, said a source in the Cabinet of Ministers.

In November 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category fell by 3.3% or 2,966 tonnes, compared with November 2010.

In January-November 2011, production of meat and by-products of the first category grew by 6.8% or 61,438 tonnes to 969,128 tonnes, as compared with January-November 2010.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in October meat processing enterprises increased production of meat and by-products of the first category by 2% or 1,687 tonnes to 87,963 tonnes, compared with September.

In 2010, production of meat and by-products of the first category increased by 6.3% or 59,236 tonnes, compared with 2009, to 999,507 tonnes.
