EFSA approves GM corn for cultivation

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has given the green light to cultivate Syngenta's genetically-modified GA21 corn within the EU.

EFSA concluded this week that the GM corn was "unlikely to raise additional environmental safety concerns compared to conventional corn, but that its cultivation management could result in environmental harm under certain conditions".
