Methionine prices consolidate lower in China on weak demand  

Prices of methionine moved lower during the week ending December 20.

Poultry feed production was lower than expected as producers limited output with the poultry markets underperforming. Attempting to move sales, methionine sellers negotiated prices over the week.

Price quotes of imported dl-methionine decreased to the range of RMB26.50-27.50/kg.

With the costs of imported products remaining high due to a weak renminbi, price falls were limited.
