Customs Union members approve 2012 meat import quotas
 

 

Import quotas for meat, pork and poultry for 2012 have been approved by the Customs Union Commission of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

 

The limits for Russia are 30,000 tonnes of chilled cattle meat, 530,000 tonnes of frozen cattle meat, 400,000 tonnes of pork and 30,000 tonnes of pork trimmings, 70,000 tonnes of boneless frozen chicken, 250,000 tonnes of frozen chicken parts and 10,000 tonnes of frozen boneless turkey meat, the commission said today on its website.

 

Quotas for Belarus include 2,500 tonnes each of chilled and frozen cattle meat, 60,000 tonnes of pork and 15,000 tonnes of poultry and its products, the commission said. Kazakhstan's quotas include 13,900 tonnes of frozen cattle meat, 9,400 tonnes of pork and 110,000 tonnes of poultry and its products, the commission said.
