Shanghai's November pork imports hit record high

 

 

Shanghai's pork imports reached an all-time high in November, and its imports between January and November more than doubled over the same period last year, according to Shanghai Customs.

 

The city imported 25,000 tonnes of pork in November at US$2,316 per tonne, a historical high in both volume and unit price.

 

From January to November, Shanghai imported 99,000 tonnes of pork valued at US$200 million, sources said.
