China Hog: Prices climb for the third week (week ended Dec 11, 2020)


Pork demand strengthened as the manufacturing of cured meat products expanded. With supplies tight, hog prices continued to rise, albeit at a slower pace.


Slaughter volumes in major wholesale centres increased 5% to 7,531 tonnes.


Hog market is set to strengthen further with demand expanding and the supply of hog prominently lower compared with normal years.
