Russia's meat output up 4.4% in January-November
For the first 11 months of 2011, Russia's meat and meat product output grew 4.4% on the year to 1.1 million tonnes, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report Thursday (Dec 16).
Russia's poultry and poultry product output increased 8.4% on the year to 2.7 million tonnes in January–November, while the output of fish and fish products edged up 4.7% on the year to 3.3 million tonnes.
In 2010, Russia's meat and meat product output spiked 11.2% on the year, the service said in January.
