China's fisheries industry seen stable
China's fisheries industry expects to end the year with a stable growth of three percent.
The total production of farmed fish will be close to 50 million tonnes. So far, a production of 48.9 million tonnes was already recorded in November.
Despite the global economic meltdown, the industry looks for expansion again next year due to large domestic demand.
The industry managed to keep growing through upgrading breeding ponds, good disease controls and quarantine systems and also improvements of breeding stocks.
