China lysine market remains upbeat

Lysine prices continued to rise during the week ending December 15.

Lysine market remained firm amid tight availability as most producers have chosen to control output despite softer corn prices.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine rose to RMB7.90-8.50/kg.

Demand for lysine should stay stable as hog market continues to strengthen under increasing pork sales.

RMB1=US$0.1547 (Dec 15)
