Denmark's pork export to China may benefit Swedish market
The booming export market for Danish pork products to China could open for an improved Swedish market in 2012, according to Hans Carlsson, Chairman of Hallands Grisforetagare, Swedish pig farming employer organisation.
He highlights that Danish import to China has reached a level where Denmark has been forced to export fewer pork products to Sweden, which could raise the price in 2012.
This would be an extremely welcome sight, considering Swedish pork producers have sustained their worst year of the past decade in 2011.
