Viterra to receive high volumes of grain in 2012
Viterra expects to receive a lot of grain in 2012 fiscal year because of the positive harvest conditions in South Australia and Western Canada.
Based on recent Australian and Canadian federal government crop production reports, Viterra's management has forecast 2012 receivables of 6.5-7 million tonnes into its southern Australian grain handling network.
This is in addition to approximately 1.7 million tonnes of carry in stocks from fiscal 2011. The previous year saw record shipments of eight million tonnes.
