Nibulon raises 2011 crop yield by 30%

 

 

Mykolaiv-based Nibulon increased the crop harvest by 30% or 100,000 to 400,000 tonnes in 2011.

 

The total area of crops to be harvested is about 65,000 hectares, 10% more as against 2010.

 

The company 8% increased the share of spring crops.

 

At the same time, the company said the increase in gross harvesting took place thanks to increase in the yield.

 

The yield of sorgo made up 50 centners per hectare and corn 78 centners per hectare.

 

At present, Nibulon completes signing international agreements on acquisition of sowing materials.

 

Nibulon is a major producer and exporter of agricultural products in Ukraine. It is also a stevedoring company.

 

The company cultivates 70,000 hectares of land.
