Bunge Vietnam invests US$30 million in soy processing plant

Bunge Vietnam Co. Ltd invested US$30 million on Tuesday (Dec 9) in for a soyoil processing plant in Phu My 1 industrial zone, Than Thanh District in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, according to the province's Projects Management Unit of industrial zones.

Covering 10 hectares, the plant has a total capacity of 48,000 tonnes of storehouse system, which will produce 930,000 tonnes of soy oil a year.

Bunge Vietnam, established by the US-based Bunge Group, is also the owner of the Phu My Farm Produce Import-Export Port.

This is the first port of its kind in Vietnam which has a loading capacity of 4.5  million to 5 million tonnes, and storage capacity of 50,000 tonnes yearly.
