Novus opens aquaculture research centre in Vietnam
US based animal health and nutrition company Novus International, together with the Vietnam's Agriculture and Forestry University has opened a research centre in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec 4.
Novus International CEO Thad Simons said the US$500,000 Novus Aqua Research Centre represents Novus' commitment to the sustainability of the industry through the development of healthy science-based, innovative products and programmes for the aquaculture market.
Located in the university campus, the facility includes a fish hatchery with re-circulating tanks for Pangasius Basa catfish, tilapia and shrimp, a water processing laboratory, a feed processing laboratory, and a general laboratory with microbiology equipment and glass aquaria.
