Buyers limit purchases; China vitamin A prices dip further

Animal inventories increased slowly in November while aquaculture season ended gradually, resulting in lower feed production. Demand for vitamin A was therefore weak as feed millers and traders withheld purchases.
Transacted prices of imported vitamin A plunged to RMB134-138/kg while those of locally produced vitamin A dropped substantially to RMB131-135/kg.
General market prices of imported vitamin "A1000" by a foreign producer dipped to around RMB265-275/kg.
Buyers will continue to limit vitamin A purchases to be on the safe side while feed demand stays soft.
