Kazakhstan's grain export to China commences


At the end of November 2013, shipment of the first cars to China took place with JSC Food Contract Corporation (FCC), the company in Kazagro National holding structure, within the contract with the Chinese state company, began the supply of food wheat for the Chinese market.


As a whole FCC's contract with the largest grain trader of China provides delivery of 10,000 tonnes of grain until the end of 2013. After its execution carrying out further negotiations with the Chinese party about increase in volumes of export of the Kazakhstan wheat is planned.


Export of wheat is carried out according to orders of the Head of state by results of arrangements with the Chinese party about deliveries of the Kazakhstan flour and grain to this country.  It is known that at meetings of heads of states of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China in April and September, 2013 questions of trade and economic cooperation of two countries, including supply of grain from Kazakhstan to China were discussed.


Shipment of grain is made from one of FCC's authorised grain receiving points in Akmolinsky area.


Generally, until the end of this year according to FCC's export plans, it intends to export about 200,000 tonnes of grain. The main directions of deliveries are China, Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan. 


Primary activity of JSC Food Contract Corporation National Company is ensuring purchase, formation, the account, the organisation of storage, updating, movement, realisation of the state resources of grain and products of its processing, and also other functions determined by the Government of Kazakhstan. The only shareholder of the company is JSC National Operating Holding Kazagro.


JSC National Operating Holding Kazagro realises a state policy on development of agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan by ensuring effective management with investment assets of the companies entering into its structure.
