Australia's November beef shipments to US up 32 percent
Australian beef exports to the US got a boost in November, increasing by 32 percent to 29,174 slaughterweight after a series of low volume orders in the past months.
Demand in other markets subsided, particularly Russia and prices received for imported 90CL in the US in A$ terms remained well above year ago levels, due to the lower A$. The higher exports came amid uncertainty plaguing the market due to volatile A$ and weak economy.
US imported 95CL bull beef and 90CL cow beef prices remained stable last week while fattier trimmings experienced a fall, mirroring the downturn in the US domestic trimmings market over the past couple of weeks.
