Canada's Manitoba rapeseed production sank by 25.3% because of flooding.

Production of all varieties of wheat was up nationally by 9% this year compared to the previous year except rapeseed in Manitoba.

Statistics Canada's third and final production estimates for 2011 show Prairie farmers reported canola production increased 10.7% from 2010 to a record 14 million tonnes.

Canola production reached new highs in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. However, farmers reported a decline in both corn and soy crops.
