Market analysis

Prices of lysine were still considerably high despite falling to June levels. Feed millers and traders were therefore reluctant to stockpile inventories, especially as a few new plants would be ready for production soon.

In Europe, quotes for 2012 Q1 orders remained in the range of EUR1.96-1.98/kg, while spot prices increased to EUR2.20-2.30/kg.

Market forecast

Buyers will continue to withhold procurements amid flat feed demand, impending supply rise and relatively high lysine price
