China's New Hope starts operations of new animal feed plant in Indonesia

China's New Hope has begun operations of a new animal feed plant in Balaraja, Serang, Indonesia.

The plant was built at a cost of US$50 million, and has an annual production capacity of 360,000 tonnes of poultry feed.

New Hope needs to import 1.5 million tonnes of soy per year for the factory, but will use other materials such as corn from local suppliers..

New Hope will market its entire production on the domestic market.
