China's pesticides demand to rise 2.48% in 2012
 

 

China will see its demand for pesticides climb 2.48% on-year to 984,000 tonnes next year, sources reported.

 

During the period the country will need 124,100 tonnes of insecticide, up 1.2% on-year, and 97,300 tonnes of herbicide, the same amount as in 2011.

 

Meanwhile, the new Pesticide Administrative Regulations, aimed at raising the entry barrier and tightening quality control of pesticide production in China, are expected to be issued formally next year.
