Schering-Plough announces transition of animal health leadership
Schering-Plough Corporation has an­nounced the transition of leadership of its Animal Health unit from Ruurd Stolp, DVM., Ph.D., to Raul E. Kohan, who was previ­ously the deputy head of the Animal Health unit.
In his role as senior vice president and president, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, Kohan will continue reporting to Fred Hassan, chairman and chief executive officer.
In this role, Kohan is responsible for overseeing the company's worldwide animal health business, which includes a range of pharmaceuticals, vaccines and serv­ices for food-producing and companion animals.

Lallemand appoints new managing director for Biotal
Lallemand Animal Nutrition has announced the ap­pointment of Tim Pollock as managing director of its UK business, Biotal Limited, which is a supplier of silage inoculants and probiotic yeast technologies.
Tim Pollock spent seven years as group manag­ing director of Grainfarmers (previously SCATS), one of UK's largest agricultural cooperatives and has a thorough understanding of the CAP, the global animal nutrition industry and the key drivers of profitability for the rural sector.
Tim Pollock will join Biotal in January, from an interim role in the agricultural commodities industry, and will report to Pascal Raoul, general manager of the Animal Nutrition business.
