Brazil's November chicken exports up 39% on-year to US$518.7 million

 

 

Brazil's November chicken exports were 39% higher than in the same month last year, at US$518.7 million, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex).

 

Average chicken prices advanced 15.2%, to US$1,815.50 per tonne. In volume, chicken shipments rose 20.5% to hit 285,700 tonnes.

 

Pork exports increased 0.8% on the year in November, to US$104.5 million, but volume slipped 20.3%, to 36,100 tonnes.

 

Beef shipments, meanwhile, fell 4.8% to US$268.9 million, despite an average price rise of 35.7%, to US$4,871.40 per tonne. This occurred because volume sales declined 30%, to 55,200 tonnes.
