Produmix organises swine conference in Taiwan

Produmix organised a conference on swine health and nutrition in November in Taichung, Taiwan, in cooperation with its area distributor.

With representation of veterinaries, big swine producers, and sub-distributors from several provinces, the conference dealt with various topics on the nutrition and the digestive system in piglets, with special mention to the new trends and studies related to the nutrition and health of early ages in pigs.

One of the most compelling topics for the audience was the problems caused by the lack of homogeneity of animals during the post-weaning period. Apart from the extra costs these problems can generate for the grower which were highlighted, different measures were suggested to reduce the impact of the high variability in piglet weights that exists on farms.

Produmix also presented and analysed, together with the participants, various data obtained from regular trials carried out on farms, showing that its basemixes contribute to the homogeneity of piglet litters.
