Ukraine exports almost 11 million tonnes of grain
        

 

Ukraine has exported almost 11 million tonnes of grain crops, says Valentyna Zavalevska, deputy minister of the agricultural policy.

 

Zavalevska also informed that in October the prices of wheat in the global markets fell by 47 percent, corn up to 50 percent, and sunflower up to 70 percent.

 

As reported, Ukraine is winding up autumn fieldwork. Grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from 98 percent of the acreage, and 54.240,3 million tonnes of grain has been threshed already, the agriculture ministry says.

 

Buckwheat and millet was harvested in full, having brought 298,000 and 239,400 tonnes of grain, respectively.

 

The harvesting of soy and sunflower has been almost completed. The yield of soy is 835,700 tonnes, sunflower 6.876,8 million tonnes. The harvesting of corn is continuing. Corn was mowed on 86 percent of the acreage, and 9.978,4 million tonnes of grain has been obtained.
