Indonesia's Board of Logistics to handle corn distribution
Indonesia's state-owned Board of Logistics (Bulog) has been asked by the government to handle the distribution of corn.
Bulog President Mustafa Abubakar said the trade ministry hopes that Bulog could start assuming the new duty next year.
Mustafa said the government will provide Rp250 billion (US$21 million) to help finance the distribution of corn in Sumatra and Sulawesi next year, the newspaper Bisnis Indonesia said.
Bulog was named only earlier this week distributor of sugar produced by state plantation company PT Perkebunan Negara and PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI).
