Rosselkhoznadzor officials for the Kamchatka Territory and the Chukotka Autonomous District in its animal health's surveillance activities ascertained the detection of possible counterfeit of the animal health certificate.
In the course of an inspection of products under surveillance that came into seaport "Anadyr" on "Krasnogvardeets" motor ship to the address of "OOO Novomarinsky" shopping centre, Brazilian beef from Plant SIF 3557 was detected instead of 121 kilogramme of Brazilian beef (plant SIF 3031) stated in the animal health certificate issued by the Moscow animal disease control station.
Plant SIF 3557 is not in the register of Brazilian plants approved for export of beef into the Russian Federation.
Certificate of Compliance for products detected was presented. It was indicated that animal health certificate issued at the sea checkpoint by the (Baltic) Rosselkhoznadzor administration for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast was the basis for it. Thus, the Administration did not confirm the information and reported that the animal health certificate of the corresponding series had not been issued at the sea checkpoint.
The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kamchatka Krai and the Chukotka Autonomous District forwarded information aimed at this crime investigation.
"OOO Novomarinsky" trading centre is held administratively liable, Brazilian products from plant SIF 3557 are subjected to disposal.
