About half of China's storage grain bought
About 31,000 tonnes of the total 68,000 tonnes of grain in the Chinese State temporary storage were bought on Thursday (Nov 24) at the Grain Wholesales and Trade Market of Anhui, according to the National Grain and Oil Trade Centre.
The price of the grain averaged RMB2,572 (US$404) per tonne.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the country's grain output will total 32.76 million tonnes for this year, up 1.43 million tonnes on 2010.
