Aviagen and Almarai explore partnership possibilities in Middle East
Senior representatives from Aviagen recently met with local Ross® parent stock customer, Almarai, to discuss how to further develop commercial opportunities between the two companies.
Jan Henriksen, Aviagen's CEO, led a team of senior delegates to visit Almarai, the largest integrated dairy foods company in the world, to discuss about strengthening the current relationship and investigate opportunities for partnerships in meeting a growing demand for chicken meat in Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries.
"Our relationship with Almarai is hugely important to us," Henriksen said. "We share the same values, vision and business objectives. Almarai, like us, is committed to growing through quality, service and innovation."
"This meeting was an ideal opportunity for senior teams on both sides to discuss how we can both benefit in the years ahead by working in collaboration to best serve the Arab world and beyond," Henriksen added.
Almarai has over 35,000 employees serving some 50,000 retail outlets. In 2009, the company added poultry products to its portfolio through the acquisition of the Hail Agricultural Development Company (HADCO).
