US Nebraska farmers' corn fall harvest nearly complete
The corn fall harvest in US Nebraska is almost 97% done statewide although recent snow in the western end of the state has slowed some farm work, according to USDA.
However, only about 80% was complete in the panhandle.
The corn harvest is slightly behind last year when 99% of the crop had been harvested at this time. But farmers are doing better than the average of 85% done.
The sorghum harvest is about 98% done. That's close to last year's 99% and well ahead of the average of 85% done.
