Ukraine's meat output rises to 260,500 tonnes
Compared with September, meat production of Ukraine in live weight rose in October by 10.5% or 24,800 tonnes to 260,500 tonnes, the State Statistics Service.
Production of meat by private farms went up by 17.4% or 18,300 tonnes in October, compared with September, to 123,300 tonnes.
Specialised farms raised meat production by 5% or 6,500 tonnes to 137,200 tonnes.
In October 2011, meat production rose by 3.2% or 8,000 tonnes compared with October 2010.
In January-October 2011, comparing with January-October 2010, meat production increased by 4.8% or 109,400 tonnes and made up 2,370,800 tonnes.
Earlier in September, the production of meat in live weight rose by 6.8% or 15,000 tonnes to 235,700 tonnes, compared with August.
In 2010, meat production went up by 6.7% or 184,500 tonnes to 2,922,500 tonnes, compared with 2009.
