Ukraine exports 8.2 million tonnes grain by rail
Ukrainian railways have transported more than 11 million tonnes of grain, including 8.2 million tonnes for export from January-October this year, the press service reported.
Donetsk Railways carried 279,700 tonnes, Lviv 574,800 tonnes, Odesa 3,693,000 tonnes, Southern 2,396,000 tonnes, South West 3,003,000 tonnes and Prydniprovska 1,054,000 tonnes.
On the average, 572 cars a day were loaded.
In general, Ukrzaliznytsia's grain fleet consists of 11,579 wagons. The main types of grain cargoes are wheat, barley, corn, rapeseed and sunflower.
