Vietnam's Huy Thuan Seafood builds shrimp processing plant in Ben Tre

Huy Thuan Seafood Joint Stock Co. began to put up on Sunday (Nov 20) a VND323-billion (US$14.75-million) shrimp processing plant in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.

Located on 1.7-hectare area in Chau Thanh district's Giao Long Industrial Zone, the plant is designed to have an annual capacity of 7,000 tonnes of products.

It is scheduled to operate after 10 months of construction.

The plant is the second of the seafood company and the fourth plant to be built in Giao Long IZ in 2011.
