Thirty percent of Ukrainian winter crops sowings in good conditions
As of November 17 (Thu), Ukraine's winter crops sowings in 1.71 million hectares, or 30% of the general sowing areas were in good conditions, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Generally, sprouts appeared throughout 71% of the sowing areas only or 5.71 million ha, from the general sowings of winter crops at the level of 8.05 million ha. Besides, agrarians did not get any sprouts throughout 2.34 million ha, and expected for sprouts appearing throughout 1.31 million ha.
Winter wheat sowings faced good condition throughout 1.39 million ha, 0.4% of the areas in satisfactory condition, 1.83 million ha (39.8%) weak and thinned, 1.36 million ha (29.8%).
Winter barley sowings faced good condition throughout 0.14 million ha (20.6% of the areas), satisfactory condition, 0.256 million ha (39.1%), weak and thinned, 0.27 million ha (40.3%).
Winter rye sowings faced good and satisfactory condition throughout 156 thousand ha (51% of the areas) and 112 thousand ha (36%), respectively.
As of the reporting date, 35.6% of winter rapeseed sowings showed good condition, 33.8%, satisfactory, 30.6% - weak and thinned.
Agrarians sowed winter rapeseed throughout the areas of 913.9 thousand ha, and received sprouts throughout 752 thousand ha. Besides, agrarians did not get any sprouts of the oilseed throughout 161.5 thousand ha, and expected for sprouts throughout 34.9 thousand ha.
