Moy Park will invest EUR 2.5 million (US$3.1 million) at its poultry processing site in Seagoe, Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

The amount will be invested in the latest frying and fast chilling equipment to allow better flexibility and improved energy efficient technology. The investment is part of the company's improvement programme, aimed to help the firm to remain competitive in the further processed sector.

Improvements will further streamline production at Craigavon, improving customer service with seven-day production and delivery.

Construction of the site began in September, and the main refit site work will run from November to mid-February 2009.
