Global markets
The current season saw falling production of premium-grade steamed dried fishmeal due to lower quality fish yield.
Over the week, FOB prices of Peru's FAQ fishmeal were unchanged at US$1,200/tonne.
Market analysis
Domestically, traders were more willing to negotiate prices for their high stockpiles of average-grade fishmeal, compared to the premium-grade variety, which were sought after by hog feed millers and limited in availability.
Market forecast
In the coming week, price movements of fishmeal may differ depending on their grades.
