China's leading day-old broilers supplier, Yuhe International, expects the addition of four breeder farms to lay the path for company growth next year.
The farms will add annual production of 29 million day-old broilers and is expected to generate revenue of RMB 87 million (US$12.7 million) next year.
Yuhe will also build a new hatchery next year, bringing the total number of hatcheries to three by the end of 2009.
The new breeding farms will come online in January and bring the total number of Yuhe farms to 15.
The new facilities will allow the company to further expand the production of day-old broilers in order to meet China's growing chicken demand, said CEO Gao Zhentao.
The farms will use imported equipment and employ high quality production methods, Gao said, adding that the new hatchery will be ready for operations by the end of 2009.
