Ukraine gets over a million tonne grain
As of November 10, enterprises of Ukraine's State Reserve received more than one million tonnes of grain, which exceeds last year's figure of 584,000 tonnes for the same period, according to UKRINFORM.
"Ukraine has a record harvest of grain - 54 million tonnes, but experts predict a worsening of the situation next year, which has been evidenced by winter crop indicators. After this, the creation of grain reserves in this country is especially important, and it is difficult to overestimate the role of State Reserve here. At the moment we have even fulfilled the minimum plan," Tymur Svyrydovsky, State Reserve department director, said.
He said that the leaders are nine plants, which account for more than 70% of the total grain received. Each of the bread factories has received 50 and more thousand tonnes of grain.
The total amount of actual capacities of grain storages under the management of State Reserve is more than 2.1 million tonnes of grain. As of November 10, they kept 894,500 tonnes of grain. Thus, the total loading is 42.6%.
